It's unavoidable. One or more of a group's members can't make a trip due to an emergency such as illness. It's upsetting to anyone and causes headaches. That's why you should purchase Travel Confident® – a travel protection plan that every member of a tour can purchase individually.

  • No minimum number of people needed to sign up – one or more members of a group can purchase individual protection!
  • Easy sign up – Once a group tour is booked, the individuals can go to www.travelconfident.com and purchase their own plan.
  • Pre-existing condition coverage (*3) – available for everyone who purchases the Travel Confident Protection Plan within 14 days of the date their initial payment or deposit for the trip is received. (read your Plan Document for complete terms that apply)

The following is highlights of the Travel Confident Plan. Please refer to your Plan Document for complete terms, conditions, and exclusions.

Trip Cancellation (*4): You are covered up to your TRIP COST protected in the event you must cancel your trip for a covered reason.
Trip Interruption: This covers the unused portions of your land or water travel arrangements, plus the additional transportation costs paid, if you must interrupt your trip due to a covered reason such as the following:
  • Sickness, Injury or Death: Of you, a traveling companion, a family member, or a business partner
  • Jury Duty: Or being required to appear as a witness in a legal action
  • A Strike: That causes your common carrier to cease services for at least 18 hours
  • Job Loss: Where you have worked for at least 1 year
  • Terrorist Attack, Hijack
  • Inclement Weather: That causes your common carrier to cease operations for at least 18 Hours
  • Uninhabitable Accommodations: Your primary residence or scheduled destination is made uninhabitable by a natural disaster or burglary
  • Getting into a Traffic Accident: On your way to your trip's departure point

If your baggage is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during your trip.

If you are injured or become ill on the trip. You also are covered for up to $750 in emergency dental treatment.

Should a severe illness require immediate care and a local hospital cannot meet your needs, this covers the costs to
transport you to the nearest hospital where you can receive appropriate treatment.** If you are traveling alone, and hospitalized for more than 7 days, you are also covered for the air fare of a companion to join you at the hospital.

(*3) Losses due to, arising or resulting from pre-existing conditions are normally excluded from coverage. However, such losses are covered on the same basis as losses due to, arising or resulting from all other sicknesses and injuries if you qualify for the Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver.

(*4) The covered reasons for Trip Cancellation coverage are not identical to the covered reasons for Trip Interruption coverage, and additional terms apply to all covered reasons.
