About the Battle of the Alamo
The Battle of the Alamo was a crucial moment during the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo, a former Roman Catholic mission and fortress compound, killing over 150 missionaries and their Indian converts including Davie Crockett, Jim Bowie and William Barrett Travis.
