The M.V. MT. Sunapee II features an open-air top deck and a fully enclosed lower deck – no matter the weather, you can cruise this picturesque lake in comfort. You’ll see the magnificent homes that have sprung up around the lake as well as the historic sights of yesteryear. A highlight for many are the three historic, and still operating, lighthouses. While cruising the lake you will be afforded a unique viewpoint of our beautiful area, as well as unimpeded views of local mountains Kearsarge and Sunapee. On clear days you can see all the way to Vermont’s Mount Ascutney.
Sunapee Cruises is run by the Fenton Family!
Big Pete and Mary Beth started The Appleseed in 1977, bringing their sons, RePete and Tim, up in the business. In 1999 the Appleseed was hired to prepare the food for the cruises before finally deciding to purchase the boats themselves. The acquired the M.V. Kearsarge first in 2003, followed by the M.V. MT. Sunapee II in 2005. In 2016 they were offered a space in Sunapee Harbor and Fenton’s Landing was born – an over the counter deli where they serve breakfast and lunch, as well as everyday sundries.
The boat entrance, as well as the on-board restroom are wheelchair accessible.
Once aboard, water, soda and snacks are available for purchase from our snack bar. Beer and wine are available for our more mature riders.
