Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, New York, New York

Visit New York City’s Madame Tussauds Wax Museum as part of this group bus tour. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum was established over 200 years ago by French wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. Marie Tussaud created her first wax sculpture of Voltaire and soon after began sculpting death masks of notable victims from the French Revolution. These masks along with the entire collection Tussaud inherited from her mentor Dr. Philippe Curtius, Swiss physician and wax modeller, would become the core of the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, opened in 1835 on London’s Baker Street. Operated by the United-Kingdom entertainment company, Merlin Entertainments, today Madame Tussauds has locations in a number of major cities throughout the world. Its New York location, opened in 2000, is one of its largest in the United States boasting over 5 floors of attraction space and over 200 wax figures. It has quickly become one of the most popular Madame Tussauds locations in the world and a top New York City attraction.
