WSM Radio

Join some of our legendary country stars as you step into 1950's era WSM radio station.

From the early 1920s-1950s, before television existed, people gathered around their radios every evening to tune in to their favorite broadcast programs.  One of those programs was the long-running Grand Ole Opry, which is still broadcast on WSM 650AM. Step back in time and join some of our legendary country stars as you immerse yourself into a mid-century era radio station

 

Ryman Auditorium 

On March 15, 1974, the Opry made its last broadcast from Ryman Auditorium before moving to its new custom-built home at the current Opry House. Ryman Auditorium was one of the Grand Ole Opry's very first performance halls. Step back in time and relive an era of the Opry where legends were made.

 

Recording Studio

Step into the room with our legendary million dollar quartet during the recording of an impromptu jam session in the mid-1950's in West Tennessee. You can almost feel the mood as it was during this historic scene.

 

Soul/Jazz & Blues Lounge

Remember the music-dance television program, Soul Train? Madame Tussauds Nashville remembers the show’s 35-year history with performances by R&B, dance pop, jazz, disco, funk and soul artists. Expect to see Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and the Godfather of Soul himself… James Brown.

Madame Tassauds is wheelchair accessible. You must provide and use your own wheelchair. Additionally, Service Animals are welcomed inside the attraction.  Personal Cameras are permitted in all public areas of Madame Tussauds.
