Puttin' on the Ritz

"King Castle Theatre" was formerly the "Branson Variety Theater" which was built by legendary entertainer Bobby Vinton, who made it his home for many years. They presented some of the best Broadway style shows ever seen in Branson. On February 29th, 2012 the theater was hit head on by a F2 tornado, which destroyed parts of Branson and most of the theater. It took the better part of a year to rebuild the theater from the ground up. Sparing no expense during reconstruction the theater seats 1,450 guests and offers amazing audio, visual and lighting systems. The outside of the theater is modeled in a castle theme with the interior decor is a mixture of modern style and medieval accents. The transition from being the "Branson Variety Theater" to the "King's Castle Theatre" was named after the famous theatrical producer who owns the shows and the building, Mr. David King.

The cast from Puttin' on the Ritz are often available before and after the Branson show to take pictures and sign autographs. Cameras and/or video cameras are not permitted during the show.

Travel Tips

- King's Castle Theatre is completely handicap accessible and wheelchair accessible. The main entrance doesn't have any stairs.

- The King's Castle Theatre has a large concession area serving refreshments and snacks.
