At the young age of 17, Marco Polo set out with his father and uncle on a 24 year long adventure from Europe to Asia from 1271 to 1295. The journey of the Polos was by land where they forcibly encountered challenging and harsh territory. At around 1292, Marco Polo left China as consort to a Mongol Princess being sent to Persia. He maintained a journal of his travels which later tell in "The Travels of Marco Polo" of how remarkable and particularly accurate his memories are.
