Photography
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art’s photography collection exists chiefly of works by twentieth-century American photographers. Some of the many great photographers exhibited in the museum include Alfred Stieglitz, Garry Winogrand, Elliott Erwitt, and Imogen Cunningham. Also, be sure to visit the hundreds of photographs by Brett Weston, which were graciously donated by the Christian Keesee Collection.
European Art
Peer into the culture, society, and history of life in Europe dating back to the Baroque era while visiting the museum’s European art collection. A few major focal points of the European art collection include early nineteenth century English paintings along with original French Post- Impressionistic paintings of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Essential artists from the European art collection you do not want to miss are Gustave Courbet, Joseph Blackburn, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Andrè Derain.
American Art
Savor the exquisite detail in person as you view paintings made by prominent American painters from the frontier days up until the middle of the twentieth century. A few of the main artists featured in the museum’s collection include Georgia O’Keeffe, Hans Hofmann, and Nan Sheets who painted landscapes in Oklahoma.
Drawings and Prints
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art’s drawings and prints collection consists largely of American artists. These artists, who were especially active during the twentieth century, used the industrial age to their advantage. They were able to purchase a wider assortment of pigments as well as able to make numerous prints of the same image with ease.
Post-War and Contemporary Art
Feast your eyes on the museums selection of post-war and contemporary paintings and sculptures! Produced after 1945 these artworks are permanent rare collections comprised from all around the world. Featured artists from the collection such as Alexander Calder and Philip Pearlstein are a definite must see.
Dale Chihuly Glass
Home to one of the worlds most extensive collections of Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures the Oklahoma City Museum of Art has been obtaining his work for over three decades! The museum boasts a dramatic 55 ft Chihuly installation in the atrium entitled Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick Memorial Tower. Regarded as the most important artist working in glass, you do not want to miss this luminous collection.

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art provides visitors with an exquisite full service dining experience. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner the cafe serves delicious food and beverages along with patio tables for seasonal dining.
Photography is only allowed in certain areas of the museum. Be sure to ask a museum staff member before taking any pictures of the artwork. Handicap accessibility is available throughout the museum.
