Permanent Exhibits
Discovery Room
Located on the first floor of the Museum is the bright and colorful Discovery Room, delighting visitors of all ages with an array of hands-on learning experiences. Interactive stations selected from prior exhibits produced at the Neville Public Museum such as Culture Counts: People, Patterns and Pi are featured in the Discovery Room. Make sure you take the time to appreciate the dinosaur mural T-Rex: A New Generation. Made by local artists Amy Graff, the mural depicts a mother Tyrannosaurus rex guarding her nest of eggs. Accompanying the mural is a footprint, claw and tooth of a Tyrannosaurus rex.
Hometown Advantage: The Community and The Packers
Hometown Advantage: The Community and The Packers features films about the relationship between the Green Bay Packers and local community. From Lombardi to fanatic fans, discover what happens off the field in Green Bay through eight short films featuring historical footage and photographs. Real Residents offers insight into what it was like to be both a player and fan in the NFL’s smallest market. Listen to fans share why they love the Packers in Community Spirit. Community Commitment explores how and why the Packers have participated in charity events and why so many players volunteer their time in order to give something back to Green Bay. Learn about the construction of Lambeau Field in Green Bay’s Largest Citizen. Covering the Packers takes you behind the scenes to see what it is like for reporters covering the team. Learn about the life and times of Green Bay Packers coach, Vince Lombardi, during Vince! Throughout Packers Scrapbook, you can discover fun facts about the Packers.
On the Edge of the Inland Sea
Journey through 12,000 years of history in On the Edge of the Inland, chronicling the history of Northwest Wisconsin from the last Ice Age to the mid-20th century using thousands of artifacts, old film footage, photographs and graphics. The exhibit also covers Northwest Wisconsin’s geology, biology and ecology; Native American life, British and Yankee settlements and European migration; and the development of lumbering, farming, business and industry in Green Bay over the years.
