The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth Collection Highlights

The Modern collection numbers over 3,000 works of art spanning from 1945 to the present and includes paintings, sculptures, videos, photographs and prints from all major international movements: Abstract Expressionism; British, German, French, and American Pop; Color Field Painting; Minimalism; Conceptualism; Post-Minimalism; New Image Painting; and Neo-Expressionism. Highlights within the collection include: Tau and Threshold by Carl Andre, Catherine by Sean Scully, The Brown Sisters by Nicholas Nixon, Seestücke—Welle by Gerhard Richter; Cornwall Summer Circle by Richard Long, The Ark by Melissa Miller, Mr. Bellamy by Roy Lichtenstein, Swingeing London 67 by Richard Hamilton, Masqued Image by Jackson Pollock, Private Africa by Vernon Fisher,  Girl with Flowered Background by Richard Diebenkorn and After Matisse by Howard Hodgkin.

-          The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth regularly hosts special exhibitions. Examples of past exhibitions have included México Inside Out: Themes in Art Since 1990; Declaring Space: Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman, Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein; and Ron Mueck: A Virtuoso of Hyperrealist Sculpture.
