A Guided Tour of the Merrehope
Visitors to the Merrehope Estate will be greeted by their guide and invited into the Merrehope, restored and furnished by the Meridian Restorations Foundation, Inc. As you are guided through the historic home, explore its unique architectural features as you listen to stories of the Merrehope Estate past and present. Architectural features of the Antebellum home include its’ unusual wood flooring, handsome stairway hand carved from walnut, marvelous mantels and marble fireplaces, perfect pocket doors, a front door framed with ruby red etched panels, beautiful balconies and wrap around porches. In addition to its architectural features, the historic home is also filled with many antique furnishings.
Garden and Grounds
After your guided tour of the Victorian mansion, explore the Estate’s colorful Garden and perfectly manicured Grounds. The beautiful southern surroundings and quiet peaceful environment are ideal if you wish to take a leisurely stroll, or simply relax in the great outdoors.
