About the Beatles
Formed in 1960, the English rock band The Beatles included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were known as one of the most influential acts of the rock era with hits like, “Twist and Shout,” “And I Love Her” and “Can’t Buy Me Love.” They went their separate ways in April of 1970, each pursuing an individual music career. With estimated sales of over 600 million records worldwide, today The Beatles are known as the best-selling band in history. Over the years the band has been acknowledged both collectively and individually for changing the course of music and the world forever.
The Grammy Nominated Liverpool Legends
Louise Harrison chose the four members of the Liverpool Legends based on who she believed her brother would have gotten along with, “These are exactly the kind of fun loving quality musicians that my brother George would have loved to hang out with,” she said. Since their start, the Liverpool Legends have taken their audiences back in time as they recreate the most memorable moments in Beatle’s history. Liverpool Legends have performed at the world famous Carnegie Hall in New York City where The Beatles played in 1964 after appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England and performed with Denny Laine, co-founder of Wings with Paul McCartney and Pete Best, the Beatles’ original drummer.
