Start your visit to Kings Landing by exploring over 40 exhibits. Interactive exhibits showcasing artifacts from the museum’s 70,000 piece collection are constantly changing in order to share all the stories, mystery and intrigue of Kings Landing’s past.
2017 Exhibits
In the Welcome Center discover a history timeline of New Brunswick. Head to MacBeath Hall to explore the transformation of New Brunswick from colony to confederation and the story of brewing in 19th century New Brunswick. Labour-saving farm equipment outside the Hagerman building sheds light on the age of change. Head inside the Hagerman building to discover other innovations from the 19th to early 20th century that changed the way New Brunswick communities lived and worked. In the Gordon Exhibit Gallery exhibits showcase artifacts that explore New Brunswick’s black history. Learn about the carriage era in C.B. Ross Sash & Door Exhibit Gallery. Visit the Randolph Nicholson Lumber Camp. Meet families who lived and worked in New Brunswick during the 19th and 20th centuries and learn about the contributions they made to the province in Joslin and Jones Exhibit Galleries. In Agricultural Hall you can familiarize yourself with the history of rum.
The Village
After you’ve explored Kings Landing exhibits, cross the bridge to the Village, bustling with costumed-interpreters re-enacting the lives of New Brunswick citizens from days gone by. Meet the colorful characters who make up the 19th century community in their homes and places of work including the fields. Learn about the daily tasks of the millwright, the carpenter, the printer, the blacksmith, the local store owner, Mr. Grant, or visit one of the ladies in their homes and learn about their daily chores. If a particular trade interests you, try it out. Members of the Village can always use an extra set of helping hands!

Be sure to shop Kings Landing’s Peddler’s Market. Located in the Visitor Reception Centre, Peddler’s carries one-of-a-kind gifts and souvenirs unique to New Brunswick and Kings Landing.

King’s Head Inn Restaurant
Take a break from the Village and enjoy a light lunch or hearty meal in King’s Head Inn Restaurant. Step into the 1855 English-style pub run by costumed-interpreters. With traditional recipes lost to time and modern day favorites, there is something for everyone. Don’t forget to try the restaurant’s very own Simeon Jones amber ale or mead made by Kings Landing’s very own cultured bees.
Barony General Store
Looking for a quick snack in the Village? At Barony General Store pure, New Brunswick ice cream, traditional candies and modern favorites are available for purchase and can be enjoyed at the picnic tables located outside the store.
