John F. Kennedy’s Camelot Days, A Multimedia Exhibit

The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum is largely supported through the museum’s collections of photographs and rare video footage throughout.

Photographs

Boasting a collection of over 80 photographs spanning from 1934-1963, the photographs at the John F.  Kennedy Hyannis Museum are arranged in thematic groupings. As you make your way through the museum you’ll discover interesting facts about John F. Kennedy’s time spent on Cape Cod and see photos of John F. Kennedy sailing on the ocean which he was so constantly drawn to, relaxing with his family and playing football with his friends.

Rare Video Footage

In addition to the museum’s collection of photographs, watch a compilation of silent video footage taken around Cape Cod just months before President Kennedy was assassinated. The video is narrated by Walter Cronkite and depicts the president’s experiences on Cape Cod.

Oral Histories

Oral histories told by some of Kennedy’s closest friends paint the perfect picture of the private and peaceful life Kennedy led on the Cape.

“Cape Cod: The Summer of 1963 to November 22, 1963 - Days of joy. Days of sorrow,”

Chronicling the summer of 1963 through to the aftermath of Kennedy’s assassination, photos, videos, wall displays and video footage, give you the chance to reflect on how special Kennedy’s Camelot days truly were.

The JFK Statue
