Permanent Sculpture Collection
The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park’s permanent sculpture collection includes over 200 works by established and emerging sculptors from the Modern tradition to the present and is considered one of the most significant collections in the nation. Works from the permanent collection can be sited both indoors and outdoors on the 132-acre property.
Sculpture Park
Frederik Meijer’s Sculpture Park features one of the most comprehensive collections of outdoor sculpture in the world with 50 major works by master sculptors. Highlights within the Sculpture Park include Mark Di Suvero’s Scarlatti, Alexander Liberman’s Aria, Deborah Butterfield’s Cabin Creek, Roxy Paine’s Neuron, Kiki Smith’s Sleepwalker, Andy Goldsworthy’s Grand Rapids Arch and Peter Randall Page’s Warts and All.

At the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, its fine art is integrated with its striking gardens with an emphasis on horticultural displays that showcase a variety of plants appropriate for the Midwest and specialized plants from regions around the world.
Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory
The Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory features over 500 species from five continents. Enter into the lush conservatory and delight in streams spilling over wonderful waterfalls, quaint bridges, and a variety of brightly colored tropical birds.
Leslie E. Tassell English Perennial and Bulb Garden
The Leslie E. Tassell English Perennial and Bulb Garden offers the best of the English border tradition with many native North American plants. As you wander the winding path of the garden lined with fragrant perennials and annuals, you will pass by inviting benches positioned across from the foliage of trees and shrubs.
Gwen Frostic Woodland Shade Garden
Plants that provide year-round interest and perform best in shady conditions can be found in the Gwen Frostic Woodland Shade Garden. Named in honor of Gwen Frostic, Michigan artist and author, you’ll see examples of Frostic’s favorite subjects, indigenous plants and animals.
Kenneth E. Nelson Carnivorous Plant House
Discover meat-eating plants from around the globe of all shapes and sizes from Venus flytraps to colorful pitcher plants, sundews and butterworts. The Kenneth E. Nelson Carnivorous Plant House is the only publicly displayed plant collection in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to carnivorous plants.
Earl and Donnalee Holton Arid Garden
Many plants within the Earl and Donnalee Holton Arid Garden have adapted to survive in some of the driest environments in the world. See arid plants from the Americas and Australia and others found in Africa, Asia and the Middle East from the Golden Barrel Cactus to the Cow-Horn Euphorbia.
Grace Jarecki Seasonal Display Greenhouse
This seasonal greenhouse has something beautiful to offer visitors all year long. From the Butterflies are Blooming exhibition in the spring, to the popular Railway Garden during the months of winter, the Seasonal Display Greenhouse provides a new experience with every visit.
Earl and Donnalee Holton Victorian Garden Parlor
Explore the authentic Earl and Donnalee Holton Victorian Garden Parlor. Fountains, ornate planters, stained glass features and sculptures by Edgar Degas and Auguste Rodin set the tone for the diversity of lush horticulture found within the space.
