What to Expect at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill

Tours are self-guided, and you will have the opportunity to see different facets of the cider making business. Start with an educational video that gives an overview of the process, and then head to the cider press to see it made the old-fashioned way with a traditional rack and cloth press built back in the 1920s. There is also a large sample tank, where visitors can try out freshly-pressed cider. Each year, more than 7 million apples are used at the mill to produce the cider.

After checking out the cider mill, head over to the honey bee corner, where you can observe the honey making process up close. And make sure to stop by the bakery, where bakers make delicacies like nut bars, turnovers, pumpkin rolls, apple pie, and, of course, cider donuts.
