Waddy the Frog

Right at the front porch, you will find Waddy the Frog holding a tea mug. This giant larger-than-life frog was inspired by the tea-loving frog seen in the Charleston Tea Garden. The metallic form sculpture was custom made by Charles Smith, a talented sculptor based in the neighboring Johns Island. Waddy joined the Charleston Tea Garden in 2013 and since then, the frog has been welcoming visitors to the tea garden while enjoying many selfie moments with the young at heart.

Tea Factory

If you are a tea lover, you will have an opportunity to see how the tea leaves from the farm are processed to the product that you get on your table. There are large TV screens where you can get all the details on the tea making process. You also get to see all the machinery used for tea processing.

Trolley Ride

The Trolley ride is the highlight of a Charleston tea garden visit. This is a 45 minutes adventure that takes you deep into the tea bushes. The ride comes with a guide who will give you all the details about this tea garden while answering any of the questions that you may have. The trolley ride also features a stopover at the greenhouse where young tea bushes are nurtured before they are transferred to the fields.

Gift Shop

There are hundreds of products available in this gift shop. Browse through the tea-related products and get something you can take home for your family and friends. Notable items in the gift shop include tea infusers, mugs towels, and beautiful tea sets. You will also get quite a variety of specialty teas and loose leaf teas all made using the tea leaves picked from this tea garden.

Tea Bar

Get to sample as many teas as you would want in the garden tea bar. The tea bar serves both hot and iced tea to ensure that you get exactly what you need whatever the season.
