Waddy the Frog
Right at the front porch, you will find Waddy the Frog holding a tea mug. This giant larger-than-life frog was inspired by the tea-loving frog seen in the Charleston Tea Garden. The metallic form sculpture was custom made by Charles Smith, a talented sculptor based in the neighboring Johns Island. Waddy joined the Charleston Tea Garden in 2013 and since then, the frog has been welcoming visitors to the tea garden while enjoying many selfie moments with the young at heart.
