Steves Homestead
Built in the late 1800s, the fascinating Second Empire mansion was once the home of the Steves family, the founders of the Steves Lumber Company. Now owned and operated by the San Antonio Conservation Society, Steves Homestead has been transformed into a period house museum, beautifully furnished and opened to the public on a daily basis.
The Guenther House
The elegant home of the Pioneer Flour Mill’s founding family; the Guenther House has been beautifully restored. Take a tour through the 19th century home, or explore the river Mill Store featuring gourmet baking goods and accessories.
The Oge House
A Greek Revival residence, the Oge House is significant as it is the only house within the King William Historic District not built by German immigrants. Constructed in 1860 by the U.S. Army as the commanding officer’s quarters for the San Antonio Arsenal, today it is used as a bed and breakfast.
San Antonio Art League Museum
As you make your way through the district, you’ll come across the San Antonio Art League Museum. A place for the art lover, the museum is home to a remarkable collection of works all made by Texas artists.

Blue Star Contemporary Art Center
At the south end of the King William District is the Blue Star Arts Complex. A major center for contemporary art, stop by the complex to delight in Blue Star Art’s galleries and theater.
The King William Historic District boasts some of the finest restaurants in Texas. With a cross section of eateries you can have a relaxing meal at Guenther House Restaurant, or delight in the vibrant atmosphere at the Monterey.
