Model Railroad
On the second floor of the Museum, in the old baggage room, you will find one of the world’s most popular and loved narrow gauge model railroads, the 800-square-foot Union Central and Northern, built by Harry S. Brunk of Clarkson. Mr. Brunk spent the past 30 years handcrafting the Union Central and Northern, offering an accurate look into train travel on the Clear Creek Lines of the Colorado and Southern Railway during the late 19th century. Over the years the development of the Union Central and Northern has been documented by more than 100 magazine articles by Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette and the Model Railroader.

Cheyenne Depot Museum, Cheyenne, WY
Celebrate the spirit, optimism and sacrifices of the men and women who built and are the life of the Union Pacific Railroad, the Cheyenne Depot and the City of Cheyenne as part of this group bus tour. Located alongside the main yard of the Union Pacific in historic downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming, the Cheyenne Depot Museum, often referred to as the Wyoming Transportation Museum was built by Henry Van Brunt between 1886 and 1887, providing Cheyenne with a cultural and economic relevance it otherwise would not have been able to achieve and offering the city an architectural spectacle never before seen in the state. Since the building was donated to Cheyenne city and Laramie County in 1993, it has undergone several extensive renovations and now houses the Cheyenne Depot Museum and Shadow’s Grille and Bar as well as offices for various city and private concerns related to tourism, economic development and the Museum. It is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful railway stations in North America and is designated as a National Historic Landmark.
