That wording is intentionally flexible: current Opry backstage tours include areas such as dressing rooms and other behind-the-curtain spaces, while Ryman’s guided tour also includes backstage areas, dressing rooms, exhibits and insider stories, with access varying by availability.

If Your Tour Is at the Grand Ole Opry House:

Don’t miss the famous circle of wood on the Opry stage! This six-foot section was taken from the historic Ryman Auditorium stage and has been stood on by generations of country music legends. It’s one of the most iconic spots in Nashville!

Be sure to check out the dressing rooms, too! Each one has its own theme and personality, with tributes to the stars and traditions that have shaped the Grand Ole Opry over the years.

If Your Tour Is at Ryman Auditorium:

Look up, look around and take it all in! Known as the “Mother Church of Country Music,” the Ryman is filled with history, from its original-style pews and stained-glass windows to the legendary stage that has welcomed some of the biggest names in music.

And here’s the fun part: you’re standing in one of the most famous music venues in the world! Take a moment to imagine all the performers who have walked those halls and stepped onto that stage over the decades.
