The Sight and Sound Theatre Experience

Jonah is a Bible-based production with a touching storyline, magnificent music and spectacular staging. Boasting hundreds of professional actors and actresses dressed in elaborate costumes, live animals, superb sets, some towering up to 40 feet high, and special effects unparallel to any other, the Sight and Sound Theatre’s production of Jonah is an immersive experience about God’s grace and mercy.

The Story of Jonah

Jonah is based on the Bible’s account of the prophet Jonah, a man on the run from God. Journey back in time and go on a series of wild adventures with Jonah at a seaport called Joppa, on a huge boat during a bad storm and in the belly of a giant whale. Along the way, God teaches Jonah valuable lessons about how to receive grace and extend mercy, even to his greatest archenemy: Nineveh.

Travel Tips

-          While you are free to use your camera in the Sight and Sound Theatre’s lobby, cameras are not permitted during the performance of Jonah.

-          Lancaster’s Sight and Sound Theatre is ADA compliant. Seating specially designed to accommodate guests in wheelchairs or other mobile transports is available.

-          The production of Jonah lasts approximately two hours and twenty minutes.
