“The Christmas Show of the South” bus tour begins each November at The Calvin Gilmore Theater. This favorite production is known for its holiday spirit brought to the audience through music, dance, festive costumes, decorations, and much more.
Families will love singing along to their favorite Christmas songs while professional entertainers transform the stage into a winter wonderland. Enjoy a talented holiday brass section, surprise guest vocalists, a horse-drawn sleigh, and real snow! The Gilmore Theater works for months to create an unforgettable holiday experience, with his usual signature flair for production.
The Carolina Opry Theater is known throughout the Southeast for its extravagant holiday decor—an attraction in and of itself. Breathtaking decorations include a 30-foot lobby tree with 25,000 lights, 35 Christmas trees, 75 wreaths, 5 miles of tree lighting wire, countless tree ornaments, and mounds of Christmas snow.
The main floor is fully wheelchair accessible and all seating on the main floor can be reached without mounting any stairs. In addition, the arms of every floor seat are fully movable, allowing for wheelchair transfer to a large portion of our seating in all sections. There are also several sections with full wheelchair seating capabilities.
Three sets of grand double doors lead you in the grand lobby, where you will find the gift shop, two concession stands, four restrooms and two box offices. The sweeping staircases on either side lead up to the second level, where you will find balcony seating, an art gallery featuring local artists, two more restrooms and an additional concession stand.
