Basilica
A shrine dedicated to Saint Anne, the Basilica’s interior is a feast for the eyes, dating back to 1926 guests are welcomed to delight in the many stained glass windows, mosaics, paintings and artifacts found throughout that are of great historical significance.

The Main Nave
Explore the main floor of the Basilica. Over 240 stained glass windows and mosaics that tell the life story of St. Anne cover the ceiling and sides of the church; however, the real focus of the building is not its architecture, but the Statue of Saint-Anne-Beaupré.
The Statue of Saint-Anne-de-Beaupré
Carved from a single piece of oak and colourfully painted, the Statue of Saint Anne is located in the Main Nave of the Basilica. Wearing a gold crown with diamonds, rubies and pearls, Saint Anne is shown carrying her child, the Virgin Mary. Glorified in heaven, many guests come to the statue of Saint Anne in prayer while others quietly reflect on the statue’s beauty.
The Chapel of Saint Anne
Just behind the statue of Saint Anne is a chapel which is also dedicated to the blessed grandmother. A relic of Saint Anne can be found in this chapel given to the Shrine by Pope John XXIII.
The Immaculate Conception Chapel
As you head to the lower level of the Basilica, you’ll find the Immaculate Conception Chapel. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the room’s blue atmosphere creates a feeling of serenity and calm. Roam the chapel and study the magnificent paintings and 178 mosaics throughout. Don’t forget to take the time to admire one of the best replicas of the Pietà, work of Michelangelo. Much more than a simple work of art, many individuals find strength, courage and hope in this sculpture.
Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Also located on the lower level of the Basilica is the Blessed Sacrament Chapel used to this day to broadcast the Daily Mass on the Community Channel and centred around Christ the Redeemer, the bread of life.
Memorial Chapel
To the south of the Basilica is Memorial Chapel. The site of the transept of the third church from 1676-1876, many of the materials from the original church were used to construct the Memorial Chapel while other remains have been placed in the Museum of Saint Anne where they are better protected from weather conditions. While many of the original paintings and statues have been replaced with reconstructions, Memorial Chapel remains a strong witness of 200 years of the marvels performed by Saint Anne.
The Shrine’s Store
Don’t forget to stop by the Shrine’s Store. Located directly behind the Basilica in the monastery, you can purchase an object of piety or a souvenir to remember your visit to the Shrine.
